B+ Hero Spotlight: B+ Hero Riley and Delta Delta Delta

The relationship between a B+ Hero and their paired organization is not only special, but also reminds us of the importance behind everything that we do for the kids. Starting this summer, we will be introducing B+ Heroes and showcasing how valuable the experiences between a family and their paired organization are.

In celebration of B+ Hero Riley’s last chemotherapy treatment on July 19, 2020, we will be showcasing the close bond that she and Delta Delta Delta have developed after being paired in the 2018 spring semester. The pairing began early during that year, and they have been there to support B+ Hero Riley through a long journey of strength, bravery, and perseverance.

Delta Delta Delta referred to their connection with B+ Hero Riley as “special and powerful.” B+ Hero Riley is always included in all of their plans and they love to spend time with her whenever it is possible. They describe her as strong, beautiful, empowering, and also silly. Getting to know small details about B+ Hero Riley, such as her love for playing Roblox and her dog Meatball, has brought the sisters of Tri Delta closer to Riley and inspired them, even more, to make sure that no child has to be diagnosed with cancer.  

Some of their favorite memories together include all of the sisters of Tri Delta cheering on B+ Hero Riley through her first pitch at a Phillies game, and watching her sing at the UDance 2019 B+ Hero Talent Show. B+ Hero Riley shared that one of the reasons she loves UDance so much is because of the opportunity she had to meet her sorority sisters of Tri Delta at UDance 2019, a moment she will cherish forever.  

The organization feels endlessly proud of everything B+ Hero Riley has accomplished and extremely lucky to be there as encouragement. Whether it’s a huge event, or something as simple as attending a movie night at B+ Hero Riley’s house, she will always brighten their day and bring a smile to anyone’s face.

In just two years, B+ Hero Riley and the sisters of Tri Delta have created so many valuable memories, and there are only more to come. On July 19th, Tri Delta helped B+ Hero Riley celebrate a major milestone in her life by attending the drive-by parade on her last day of chemotherapy treatment. Being there throughout the course of her journey made this moment even more special for both the sorority sisters, and B+ Hero Riley’s family. B+ Hero Riley gives Tri Delta their “why,” and they will continue to cheer her on with an unbreakable bond as she enters a new stage of her life and until forever.
