Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve as Co-Executive Directors of the 2018 UDance Dance Marathon at the University of Delaware. We are so excited to continue to build strong relationships with students, faculty, alumni and volunteers around one important cause: finding a cure. We are honored to continue to create memories and raise awareness for children battling pediatric cancer.
First, we want to say thank you to all of you. To all of the students, faculty, alumni, sponsors and supporters across the nation, it is because of you that UDance has seen exponential growth since its founding in 2007. With your support, we are able to support The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, an organization based in Delaware that provides support for families affected by cancer and funds research grants across the nation. Your assistance has allowed us to move one step closer to finding a cure, and for that, we thank you.
UDance and The B+ Foundation work closely to provide both emotional and financial assistance to those affected by pediatric cancer. We have provided hope, support and memories to a multitude of families. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to grow up and attend college, just like us!
Through generous donors like you, UDance has raised over $7.1 million during its 11 years of existence. These monetary donations have enabled us to help The B+ Foundation fund research and support families nationwide. The financial assistance lessens the burden that cancer puts on families, provides children with necessary treatments and reminds families that there are people who care for them during this difficult time. In addition to providing emotional and financial support to families, The B+ Foundation funds cutting-edge research. Numerous clinical trials have saved the lives of children because of the grants awarded by UDance and The B+ Foundation. With your assistance, we are truly changing the landscape of pediatric cancer.
Every school day, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer; UDance believes that is 46 too many. We will continue to fight for those children so they do not have to face their battle alone. Our efforts go far beyond the annual 12-hour dance marathon, as our participants work year-round hosting fundraisers, canning at local businesses and participating in email campaigns. UDance understands that cancer does not take a break, so neither do we!
Thank you for your support of UDance. We are humbled to work with such selfless, passionate members of our society and we truly appreciate your commitment to this important cause. Because of you, we are one step closer to a world without pediatric cancer. One day we will dance in celebration, but until then, we dance for a cure.
For a Smile. For a Life. For a Cure.
