Director's Message

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

It is an honor and a pleasure to serve as Co-Executive Directors of the 2017 University of Delaware UDance Dance Marathon.  We are so grateful to share our college experiences with devoted students and volunteers all joining together in the pursuit of one common goal: finding a cure. We are humbled to advocate for and to build meaningful relationships with children battling pediatric cancer.

First and foremost, thank you to the students, faculty, staff, alumni, sponsors, and supporters across the nation. Your generosity and dedication has allowed UDance to achieve exponential growth over the past ten years. With your help, we are able to support The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation and give hope to those fighting childhood cancer. Each year, we move one step closer to a finding a cure, and for that, we thank you.

UDance and The B+ Foundation work together to instill hope in the lives of those affected by childhood cancer. By raising over $5.3 million in UDance’s ten years of existence, we have helped The B+ Foundation aid hundreds of families across the country, both emotionally and financially. The money raised provides these families with grants to receive the care they need or to relieve them from the burden of paying for monthly bills.  It also funds cutting-edge research studies. Children who participated in clinical trials are alive today as a result of research funding from UDance and the B+ Foundation. With your help, we are truly saving lives. Your efforts and generosity create a brighter future for these children and their families.

Forty-six children are diagnosed with cancer every school day, and we will continue to fight until the day that no family hears the phrase “your child has cancer.”  UDance’s efforts reach beyond just the 12-hour dance marathon, as we continually strives to advance childhood cancer awareness and positively impact others.  From social media posts to Main Street fundraisers, to every penny raised while canning and each hour danced, we move forward on our journey to one day find a cure.

Thank you for supporting UDance. We are proud to partner with such passionate members of the UD community and beyond. With your help, we are one step closer to living in a world without childhood cancer.  We cannot wait to see what this year brings!

For a Smile. For a Life. For a Cure.
